If you are entering the eighth grade or higher in the fall and would like to volunteer for R.A.R.A. this summer in our day camps, SCAMP or special events, please stop by the R.A.R.A. office, 104 E. Second Street, to fill out a volunteer application. You will be notified by mail as to your placement. Volunteering is fun, rewarding and a great way to spend the summer!

Children, bring your favorite teddy bear to Rochester Municipal Park (pavilion) for some fun in the sun! We will have a teddy bear parade and many other fun activities for you and your favorite bear. Bring your own lunch and blanket to sit on and R.A.R.A. will provide the drink. Parents/Caregivers are required to stay.

Calling all future champions! Rochester Municipal Park (Kiwanis Shelter) is the place to be if you're 3-5 years old and want to show your stuff! Don't let your little Olympian miss out on any of the fun-filled events. All participants will receive a participation ribbon, juice and a snack.

Events will include the paper plate discus, marshmallow shot put, miniature golf, M&M marathon, Big Wheel and tricycle obstacle course (YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BIG WHEEL OR BIKE TO PARTICIPATE!), 10 meter toddler trot AND we'll conduct a diaper derby for younger, crawling siblings. There will also be a red, white and blue parade at the end of the event, so decorate your bikes, strollers and yourselves! Parents/Caregivers are required to stay for this event.

Kids, come dressed in your favorite pajamas! Enjoy some fun with your friends (without your parents)! We will make crafts, read stories, have a pizza dinner and watch a video. Don't miss out! Parents, take this time to go out and enjoy yourselves while your young ones enjoy this fun activity!

Children must be potty trained.

Kids! Parents! Truck enthusiasts! Come join us for this spectacular new free event that is being co-sponsored by the City of Rochester Hills. You know your child loves trucks, you see them on the streets, you see them hard at work. NOW come and see them close up! You can climb inside a cool dump truck, steer a bulldozer, see what it's like inside a real fire truck and hear yourself over the police car loud speaker. There will be TONS of construction vehicles, a fire truck, a police car, and more. All will be on display for you and your truck enthusiast to check out up close and personal. Kids can have their picture taken with any police vehicle or city employee. Parents, don't forget your cameras! Learn everything you've ever wanted to know about a city vehicle and all kids will receive hats, stickers, refreshments, and a coloring book containing the displayed vehicles.

This is a bi-annual event. Coming in 2012

Moms have a special night with your favorite little guys. Dance the night away and get your pictures taken by a professional photographer. You can enjoy some snacks and refreshments between songs. Pictures take approximately 8 weeks to process and deliver. You can purchase additional pictures through the photographer. Please sign up early so you don't miss this popular event. This program runs in the winter time.

Calling all Dads! Sign-up early and plan to spend a magical evening with your daughter that you will both cherish forever. You'll enjoy dancing to the top hits spun by our awesome DJ. You will receive a professional photograph with the option of purchasing extra photos that evening.
