Siblings Empowered

Children who have siblings with special needs sometimes feel left out, overlooked, or resentment for the attention their sibling receives.  Parents and children will start out in their own workshop.  Both parents and children will learn tools and coping skills to manage the challenges they face.  Children will learn ways to stick up for themselves and their special needs sibling when other kids are mean. Parents will learn ways to make each child in their home feel loved and valued.  Parents and children will come together at the end to work on a family strengthening plan. (it is not necessary both parent attend but great if they can!)

Sibling Teasing and Bullying Family Workshop

Sibling teasing and bullying can cause more harm than the teasing kid or bully at school. If you have siblings between the ages of 6-14 years send them together to learn what the impact of their every day meanness can have and how they can make a different choice in how they treat or how they handle the situation. Parents participate in their own workshop to learn how to manage sibling conflict.  Parents and kids come together at the end to make a family contract.
