Adaptive Fitness Class

Join Ms. Wendy in the RARA Fitness Center for an opportunity for exercise with your peers! We will be using the group exercise room and exercise equipment for this class. Get your hearts pumping and your bodies sweating while we stay active now that the cold weather is here to stay. Ms. Wendy will design this program around the participants that sign up.

Social Bowling

Join Ms. Wendy and your peers at Avon North Hill Lanes for an evening of bowling and fun. This is not a league, but an opportunity to get out and be around friends. Included with the cost is 2 games of bowling, ball, and shoes. 

At this time, we are requiring masks for this program. If anything changes, you will be made aware.

Dinner at RARA

In lieu of Diners Club, we will be meeting with Ms. Wendy at Bloomer Park's Stone Shelter to enjoy a picnic dinner together in September and October. In November and December we will be enjoying our dinner together at RARA. Each participant is expected to pack their own dinner and drink. Spots are limited due to social distancing. Movie Pizza Night

Enjoy a movie and a pizza snack with friends, one Friday a month from September-April from 6:30-9:00. This opportunity is designed to support persons with special needs.

Movie Night Out

This opportunity is designed to support persons with special needs. Enjoy a movie with your friends at the theater one Friday a month. You will pay for your own ticket and concessions. Movies and times are based on the current theater schedule. You must pre-register so that we have enough assistance and space reserved. Movie select/time will be emailed the Wednesday prior to the program. 
Location: Emagine Theater, Rochester Road

$6 per person

January 29, February 26, March 26, and April 30. Registration begins soon.

Holiday Dances

Come to the RARA Basketball Courts to enjoy an opportunity for a themed dance with food, music, and time with friends! Registration opens December 1.

Dances are 6:30-9:00 PM and $15 per person

OpenSpot Theatre Classes

You're a Star Theatre Workshop (Registration begins December 1)

January 18 6:00-7:00 - $40

Join OpenSpot Theatre (formerly 4th Wall Theatre Company) for one virtual hour of introduction to theatre! We'll sing, dance, and act our way through the sixty minutes culminating in a play that the students wrote during the hour. Filled with laughter, movement, and drama, it's sure to be fun!Designed for peoples with disabilities of all ages.

Curtain's Up! Theatre Workshop (Registration begins December 1)

Tuesdays February 9-March 16 6:00-6:45 $160

Join OpenSpot Theatre (formerly 4th Wall Theatre Company) for six weeks of virtual theatre! We'll sing, dance, and act, learning the basics of theatre ferom the comfort of our homes. All this drama culminates in a final live performance that family and friends can tune in for. You won't want to miss it - the students themselves will have written the play. Join us today! Designed for peoples with disabilities of all ages.

Adaptive Karate

Registration begins December 1

Learn self discipline, self respect, strength, confidence, and goal setting in a fun environment through Shorinji Ryu Karate taught by certified instructors from Tamashi Martial Arts. The program also aims to improve strngth, flexibility, and stamina. In addition to physical exercise, karate will stimulate the mind as well. This program designed for peoples with special needs ages 10+.

Masks are required for this program at this time. We will let you know if anything changes.


Fee: $100/month and $35 due to instructor at participant's first class for uniform.

Times/Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:15-6:00, register monthly
