REMINDER: Med Forms and Behavior Promise Forms need to be turned in the Wednesday before camp starts. You may drop the forms off at the RARA 500 Building or email them to csr@rararecreation.org. Forms can be found on RARA's website under Youth Recreation; Day Camps or you can get one at the RARA 500 Building Office. Your child will not be allowed to attend camp without a Med Form present.

General Sports Camp Information:

Campers need to be dropped off at the Stone Shelter at Bloomer Park. The Stone Shelter is the shelter with large stones on the left of the parking lot as you drive in. From there, campers will hang out at the park doing sports, games, activities, challenges,etc. and be bussed to various locations throughout the week (Spencer Park, Field Trips, etc.; unless noted otherwise). At Spencer Park, activities will include a lake with a guarded beach, picnic area, play structure, and sports fields. A camp t-shirt is given on field trip day. Field trips are on Wednesdays; unless noted otherwise. A detailed schedule will be emailed to parents the Friday before camp starts and will be given to parents on the Monday morning of camp.

Campers need to bring a bathing suit, towel, non-perishable lunch with their name on it, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

NOTE: 
Latchkey is provided for Sports Camp from 7am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm (optional). Latchkey is an unstructured before/after camp care program and is $4 per hour per child. Latchkey is at Bloomer Park at the Stone Shelter. Parents will be billed for Latchkey separately from the camp cost. Bills go out the Monday or Tuesday after camp.

Sports Camp Week Themes:

Sports Extreme Camp June 15-19: Each day will be filled with different sports. This action packed camp will teach your camper the basic sports skills in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. Campers will be challenged in a series of drills, games, and exercises. Some sports will include, soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and more! Ages: 8-12 Click Here to register!

Game On Camp June 22-26: Game on! This Sports Camp week is all about challenges, friendly competition, games, and more. Go against other campers as well as counselors in this minute-to-win-it themed week. Compete as teams and as indviduals. We may even verse other camps in fun and friendly sport-related games and activities. The camp will also utilize the RARA 480 Fitness Center and Field House, the tennis courts and swimming area at Spencer and Bloomer Park. Ages: 8-12 Click Here to register!

Everything Edible I Camp July 6-10: Campers will spend the week traveling to different locations that make good eats and cool treats and will taste them all! Then we will come back to camp and learn to make our own fun crazy snack foods! Campers will have a fun week experimenting with lots of food, but they will still need to pack a lunch. Sports Teamwork Camp July 13-17: This fun-filled sports and teamwork camp is filled with a variety of sports, fitness related games, activities, and some exercises as campers work together as a team. We will be focused on working together to accomplish goals as a camp as well as making sure everyone is involved and included. This camp will teach great teamwork and leadership skills that will carry on throughout the rest of the summer and translate into future sports teams. Ages: 8-12 Click Here to register!

Super Soakin' I Camp July 20-24: Cool off from the summer heat and enjoy spending time with friends while exploring a different watering hole each day. Whether it’s a beach, wave pool, or waterslide, every day will be a new and fun adventure! We'll enjoy a wet and wild week of water games, pool time, and super soakin fun! Mystery Sports Camp July 27-31: This week, Sports Camp will be a mystery! Campers will play mysterious games, unknown sports, and weird activities that no one has ever heard of before!
