Specialty Camps

All of the specialty camps have latchkey available for $3.00 per hour. Latch key is from 7:00 am-10:00 am and then from 4:00pm-6:00 pm. Please see our punch card policy for latchkey. All Specialty Camps have a field trip or special event planed each week. If the camp has a field trip or needs to be moved to a different site the campers will be transported by school bus. A weekly schedule will be handed out on Monday morning.

Animal Discovery

Explore the way animals and humans interact in each others lives. Campers will enjoy presentations from animal lovers. They will learn and do fun and exciting activities and games that relate to the discovery of animals.

The Theater Experience!

Awaken your curiosity about the performing arts. This week at camp we will explore many different areas of the performing arts. Including plays, skits, T.V. shows, impove, make-up, theaters, costumes, and much more. You don’t have to be a professional to join camp this week. We are looking for kids who want to have fun!

“Art”ragious Art

This camp brings out the creativity in your camper. They will spend the week making tons of different “art”ragious craft projects. We will have something for everyone. Be prepared to get messy and have lots of fun!

S’more Camp Please

Explore the great outdoors through this week long camp. Campers will learn how to build a camp fire, fish, set up a tent, and enjoy the great out doors. This week of adventure will keep your campers on their toes, and have your campers asking for s’more camp please!

Sk8 Park Camp

During this week of camp we will be visiting several skate parks around the metro area. Some of the places we have visited are Zero Gravity, Modern Skate Park, Oakland Vert, and many more! The schedule will be determined before the April registration. Campers need to bring a bag lunch and the required equipment every day. Participants must be able to skate. We will travel by school bus to each of the parks. The mandatory equipment is: helmet, knee and elbow pads, and skateboard or in-skates.

Myth Busters

Just like the T.V. show! We will spend the week proving or disproving myths! Does hot water freeze faster than cold water? We will give Jamie and Adam a run for their money!

The Police Academy, Officer Vanpopelen, Director

Join the Rochester Police Department for a week! All campers will go through an elementary age police academy. See what it’s like to be a police officer. This camp is designed to give elementary & middle school age children a working knowledge of the Rochester Police Department’s personnel and policies. Each day you will cover a different area of the police department. Some topics may be police investigation, fingerprints, jail procedures, crime prevention, Detective work, Canine Unit, become a CSI Detective and much much more!

Gizmos, Gadets & Goop!

Calling all ingenious inventors! Campers will perform experiments all day, all week long! They will get their hands messy and their minds wondering in some fun filled activities. Some of our activities can easily be recreated at home to impress friends or relatives. Campers will get down to the nitty gritty of science and watch some cool demonstrations! Join us for a great week of exploration!

The Fire Academy

Join the Rochester Hills Fire Department for a week! All campers will go through a Middle School age fire academy. See what it’s like to be a fire fighter. This camp is designed to give youth a working knowledge of the Rochester Hills Fire Department’s personnel and policies. Each day you will cover a different area of the fire department. Some topics may be trucks, fire safety, equipment training, and much much more!
