July National Parks and Recreation Month

July is National Parks and Recreation Month! This month, the theme is Where You Belong.

We partnered up with the City of Rochester Hills Parks and Natural Resources Department to bring you a fun and memorable month celebrating our very own Parks and Recreation here in Rochester and Rochester Hills.

We have yellow rocks planted in Bloomer Park, Spencer Park, Borden Park and Innovation Hills that say "National Parks and Recreation Month." If you find one of those rocks, you'll:

1. Take a picture with the rock - post it on Facebook or Instagram with the #WhereYouBelongRH (tagging @rararecreation & @rochesterhillsparks)
2. Turn that rock into City Hall Parks Department to win a prize from Rochester Hills Parks and RARA!

On top of winning prizes from our scavenger hunt, we will have four FREE coloring days at each of the parks:
Tuesday, July 9th (11:30am-1:30pm): Spencer Park
Tuesday, July 16th (10am-12pm): Innovation Hills
Tuesday, July 23rd (10am-12pm): Bloomer Park
Tuesday, July 30th (10am-12pm): Borden Park

We encourage you to celebrate with us this July for Parks and Recreation Month. Enjoy the beautiful parks and trails we have in our own community here in Rochester and Rochester Hills. Walking, running, biking, fishing, playing on the playground, bird-watching, you name it! We would love to see you enjoying the parks and recreation just as much as we do. So, make sure if you are having fun in our parks, you let us know by using the #WhereYouBelongRH this month on social media.
